Bethany Carpenter, Veterinary Assistant

Bethany Carpenter grew up in Torrington, CT, and earned her undergraduate degree in Middle Eastern and Islamic Studies from New York University in 2010 where she also was part of the Air Force ROTC program. Upon graduation, she was commissioned as an officer in the Air Force where she primarily specialized in counterterrorism. While serving, she also earned her master's degree in Homeland Security at Penn State in 2016 while teaching ROTC there herself. During her last assignment in Nevada, Bethany also entered the world of goat and poultry ownership and developed a passion for learning about their care and health needs. In 2020 after 10 years of active duty with assignments worldwide and at the rank of Major, Bethany decided to leave active duty to be closer to her family and transitioned to the Massachusetts Air National Guard where she continues to serve. Upon coming back to CT, Bethany became a client of Tri-State and loved every interaction she had. While Bethany began her post active duty career in higher education, in September 2022 she was excited to accept the opportunity to begin working for Tri-State in what she considers to be a dream job. Bethany loves exploring with her dog and hanging out with her goats and ever expanding variety of poultry.
