McKenzie Hoyt

Veterinary Assistant

McKenzie has been around animals small and large before she could speak her first word. She has been around mostly horses her entire life, but has plenty of real-world experience with many other species of animals. McKenzie attended Wamogo Regional High School as a part of the FFA program where she majored in Large Animal Science, and attended an animal behavior class through UConn before graduating in 2019. Throughout her time at Wamogo, she spent time on a cattle farm, and a large horse rescue farm for her SAE, where she gained even more knowledge about different species of animals and assisted vets, dentists, chiropractors, and massage therapists to get a better understanding and gain more knowledge of our furry friends. Since then, she has been training horses and working with different types of animals on the farm where her horse is located. In her free time, McKenzie enjoys spending time with and training her horse, Elliot, playing softball and spending time with friends and family.
